• For prescription eyeglasses, you should check glass alignment on a regular basis. A good optician will do this.
• Buy a small sunglass maintenance kit that comes with some replacement screws and a special screwdriver. Tightening and replacing loose screws will add years of life to your sunglasses.
• Quickly remove sweat form the sunglasses especially in the extreme heat to prevent damage to the lens coating and the sunglass frame finish.
• Do not leave your sunglasses on the dashboard of your car because the glasses can distort due to intense heat. Polarization gets deteriorated when the sunglasses are exposed to heat or when pressure is applied on them. High heat impact can cause erosion of the chemical layer at the edges in polarized lenses leaving a dissipating like tint on the outside of the frame.
• Finally, always keep your glasses in a case. Make it a habit to store them in their respective cases.
